Editorial: 3 June 1998
This is more of a status report than an editorial.
- The Hypermail bulletin board is now installed.
- I am continuing to make changes to the
Phone Book.
I have been adding entries that I thought should be included and using
the membership directories of the IAU, OSA, SPIE, and other societies
to update what
entries I can .
You will now find included almost 70 links to personal homepages.
There are currently 330 entries in the Phone Book, and of these
I believe at least 60 or more are of questionable correctness.
I will try to verify what addresses
I can, and remove entries that I know are incorrect.
If you wish to be included or deleted from this
list, please email me.
- I have made minor changes to the
Links.
- I am archiving old editorials.
- I am archiving announcements of past conferences.
In the next month or so I would hope to do some of the following:
- Finish the major updates of the Phone Book. This should occupy the
largest fraction of my time spent on OLBIN.
- Use email addresses extracted from the Phone Book to more widely announce
the changes to OLBIN.
- Write up a series of open questions to jump-start the forum.
- Date-stamp contributions.
